1. School Library :
The library of KVNRC is a storehouse of knowledge with 15241 books. Books of various subjects like English, Hindi, Maths, Science, Social science and Computer arethere in the library. The library also contains reference books on various subjects,inaddition to journals, magazines and story books. Children are encouraged to read newspapers. School library is also computerized. The issue and receipt of books are done through the computer.

. Science Section :
The school is rich with three laboratories- Chemistry and Biology in addition to a Junior Science Laboratory . These are equipped with latest apparatus . Experiments are first demonstrated by the in - charges of the labs and children are then asked to do the experiments individually. The labs are decorated with different working and non - working models. The Biology lab has got sketches and write-ups of various scientists, charts and exhibits prepared by students and some static models of heart, lung ,machine and haemodialysis on hard boards .Students are encouraged for preparing working models in electrostatics,
electrochemistry , heat and light.

3. Cyber Zone :
There are three computer labs in the school: Two for the Sr. Secondary and Secondary section and one for the primary section. It is equipped with 55 computers. Teachers are also provided separate computers and are encouraged to teach through this resource materials. Official works and correspondence are also being done through the computer in the office. Informatics Practices and Computer Science are the elective subjects at +2 level for students.

4. Activity Room:
A well equipped activity room is developed for the primary wing. In this department, different projects , toys, charts, maps and teaching aids are displayed. All the primary teachers use the activity room for various demonstrations and the tiny- tots enjoy their studies through activities.

5. Teaching Aids :
This department is fully equipped with maps of all the continents, globes, an LCD projector, television, OHP and a Xerox machine. All the staff members boards like perforated board, felt board, alkosign boards, white boards, chalk boards etc.

6. Play Ground :
KV NRC has got a good developed playground with the following play fields-1.Football, 2 .Kabaddi,3.Volleyball, 4. Basketball and 5. Handball.
Children are trained in Cricket, Basketball , Kabaddi & Football by the expert regular PET along with part - time coaches in these events. The Vidyalaya is proud of its sports and games achievements bagging several prizes in Regional and National Sports and participation in SGFI. Vidyalaya has a play field for primary classes with fixed playing equipments.

7. Garden :
Vidyalaya has many grass patch gardens. There are tree beautiful gardens on both sides of the approach road and 5 in side the Secondary and Sr.Sec. building. The gardens in the Vidyalaya are bloomed with flowers & possesses lush green lawns. Gardens not only develop aesthetic value of the Vidyalaya campus but give the sense of responsibility towards global warming. Several species of plants like Hibiscus ,Springery ,Golden Duranta, Nerium and roses are there in the garden.

8. Drawing and Painting :
Children are budding artists. Their talent is exposed through the drawing and painting displayed in the department and on display boards. They are trained in oil painting, fabric painting, mordern art and sketches. They are encouraged to take part in various competitions organized by other foundations and institutions.

9Music :.
Music department is equipped with instruments like harmonium, tabla, synthesizer (casio), congo, bongo, triangle, zanj etc.Community songs and Folk songs are practiced to the students. Children display their talent on special occasions like Inspection, Republic Day, Independence Day, visits by Authorities and on Annual function etc.

10. SUPW :
The activities which the students take part are Craft Work, and electric and electronics gadgets making. Students are trained in making items like battery charger, rain alarm, battery eliminator, disco lights etc. They also make items with plaster of parish.

11. Value Based Education :
Moral talks are given by all the staff members in their own periods. Value based education is also imparted through lectures during morning assembly. Values like honesty, courtesy, discipline, sincerity etc. are inculcated through moral talks.
The Vidyalaya contributes to various agencies like Cancer, Helpage India through collections done by the students. |

12. Guidance and Counseling :
a) The Vidyalaya has one trained teacher for providing guidance and counseling to the students in academics. Apart from that, class teachers do the required counseling in the classes itself.
b) Career Guidance – The colossus of every high profile ambitious career today is essentially built on the bedrock of competition where potentials for success have to get thorough before you enter the corridor of a bright future , to show the muddled minds of class 12 students the right path , to fight against this perspiring competition’s endeavor and labor , to enable them to choose the right career and fulfill their dreams ,talks on career guidance are arranged time and again by experts in the different fields.

13. Scouting and Guiding :
The vidyalaya has 50 scouts & 43 guides and 50 cubs
& 55 bulbuls. Scouts and Guides are trained by teachers for Rajya Purashkar and
Rashtrapati Puraskar . Scouts, Guides, Cubs and Bulbuls display their
shows on various occasions.

14. National Adolescent Education Programme :
The objectives of Adolescent Education Programme is to provide accurate knowledge to the students about Adolescent Reproductive, Sexual health (ARSH), HIV / AIDS , substance abuse. This Education also inculcate among
students a healthy attitude towards ARSH and positive attitude towards people suffering from AIDS. It also aims towards promoting respect for the opposite sex and responsible sexual behaviour. In this respect, the Vidyalaya has trained two teachers who deal with the adolescents of the school i.e. students of classes IX onwards & discuss with them about the problems associated with this age group, physical and behavioral changes with age and peer group pressure; to reduce vulnerability of young people to HIV infection and to reduce the stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV / AIDS . |
